EMBATTLED Second Lady Marry Chiwenga (nee Mubaiwa) has a decorated thirty-eight years on Mother Earth.
Although her marriage to Vice President Constantino Guveya Dominic Chiwenga is teetering on the brink of collapse, the 38-year old businesswoman, has had close liaisons with the who is who in sports, business and politics.
Zim Morning Post can open a lid on her showbiz life that has been out of the public radar.
After pursuing a modelling career that never took her to dizzy heights, Marry took advantage of her stint on the ramp to make powerful male friends (and a little more than friends but less than lovers!).
It is during this ‘sojourn’ on the catwalk that she caught the late Lucky Dube’s eyes and was hired as a video vixen in a video to the song ‘Put a little love’, taken off the album Soul Taker.
The irony of the song is that Lucky Dube talks about a woman who is having marital problems and asking her hubby to put in a little bit of more love.
In a case of art mirrorring reality!
In the video, Marry was dressed to kill, clad in a black fishnet outfit and dancing on top of the table.
Her dancing skills in front of camera would leave Karrine Steffans green with envy.
Karrine is an American celebrity famed for detailing her 25 years as a video vixen in a book titled Confessions of Video Vixen, published in 2005.
She narrated how she was hanging around with the likes of P Diddy, Jay Z ,Mase and others.
Another video of Marry exhibiting her dancing skills went viral on social media as she danced to Jah Prayzah’s Kutonga Kwaro with great finesse.
Meanwhile, a sad episode of her been whisked away to the Zimbabwe Prisons Services truck on Monday was captured on camera and she was a pale shadow of herself.
She will be back in court on December 30 answering to a cocktail of charges including attempted murder.
However, her chief legal counsel Beatrice Mtetwa is fighting hard for her freedom , submitting powerful heads of argument.
